Mark R. Stefanick, President and CEO
Advantage Benefit Solutions founder, and CEO Mark Stefanick provides his team with a strategic direction towards the development of industry leading solutions and client relations.
Mark has more than 30 years of experience in the design, communication, compliance and administration of employee benefit plans for startups, acquisitions and large middle market companies. Mark is experienced in the complexity of human capital management. His competency in health and welfare, retirement planning and regulatory requirements brings a strategic, consultative solution.
He stays current with business issues and training through his membership in the Vistage International CEO organization and meeting and working with local business leaders. He is a frequent speaker at executive leadership and training events.
Before founding Advantage Benefit Solutions in 1982 Mark was a sales senior account executive and sales manager at John Hancock in Houston. In 1980 he was responsible for developing a full service employee benefit solution that provided a complete human resource back office, assisting small, medium and large sized businesses.
Jeff Hildreth, Vice President / Account Management
Jeff joined Advantage Benefit Solutions in 1997. He provides benefit plan guidance to our clients and health plan funding strategies that result in increased satisfaction and value. He delivers leading trends in human capital management, regulatory compliance, and plan administration automation. His expertise in these areas improves profitability and overall employee satisfaction of employer sponsored health and welfare plans.
After graduating from the University of Texas with a BBA in Finance, Jeff started his career in 1990 with Home Life Insurance / Anthem Health as a Group Representative. Jeff successfully assisted brokers with health, life, dental and disability plan designs for their clients. His focus on self-funding strategies led to the success of improving profitability and cash flow for his clientele.
Dennis McDowell, Vice President of Client Solutions
Dennis joins Advantage Benefit Solutions with 36 years of expertise in the employee benefit market. Dennis works with closely held and public companies. He helps them to attract and retain their workforce, while assisting them to become compliant with the ever changing laws within ACA. Dennis continues to help clients by developing strategic solutions to gain control of cost pertaining to their benefit plans. He offers solutions for improved communication strategies designed to improve employee plan appreciation and to simplify benefit plan administration while reducing the administrative cost.
Dennis is a Vietnam veteran having served as a infantry platoon commander with both the 26th Marines and the 5th Marines.
Dennis and his wife Pam have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He enjoys golf, the Texans and traveling to sunny seaside destinations.
Greg Faldyn, Vice President of Client Services
Greg Faldyn brings more than 25 years of experience in the employee health and welfare benefits industry. His background includes account management, new sales, renewals and underwriting. Greg has managed blocks of business in excess of one million dollars and he has extensive financial background including fully insured and self- insured medical and all ancillary products. As our Vice President of Client Services, Greg’s responsibilities include managing our Account Management Team as well as our overall block of business. Greg works closely with our in house underwriter to produce ongoing financial reporting for our self- funded accounts. Greg routinely participates on client meetings to discuss financials or provide consultation regarding the impact of Health Care Reform.
Greg, a graduate of Texas A&M University, is happily married to a wonderful wife and has one stepson and three grandchildren.
Eva Morgan, Compliance Specialist
Eva has over twenty years’ experience and knowledge in employee benefits from the service provider, employer and consulting perspectives. She has worked for a major managed care provider and a national third party administrator in various positions ranging from account management to Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) compliance. Prior to joining ABS, Eva worked for Lockton, a national brokerage firm, where her responsibilities included advising clients on plan design, compliance and vendor management. In Eva’s role with ABS, she is responsible for bringing employee benefit plans into compliance through the Compliance Analysis, maintaining compliance through Compliance Dashboard® and providing ongoing analysis of the Affordable Care Act. Eva has earned her Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation.
Carol Speich, Financial Underwriter
As the Financial Underwriter she manages the financial risk of benefit plans by accurately documenting large claims, claim history and employee demographics, then communicating on behalf of our clients with insurance companies resulting in the lowest possible cost.With over 18 years’ experience in underwriting Carol has forged valuable relationships and developed a skill level that enables her to negotiate cost effective solutions for even the most difficult cases.
Prior to joining Advantage Benefit Solutions in 1995, Carol was the Human Resource Administrator for two mid-sized companies in charge of employee benefits, workers compensation and general liability insurance. This allowed her the unique perspective of seeing the financial transaction from the same side as ABS clients improving her ability to negotiate for our clients.
Linda Garcia, Senior Account Manager
Linda has over 25 years’ experience and knowledge in health and dental insurance and employee benefits from processing claims, customer service and TPA perspectives. She has worked for a brokerage firm where her responsibilities included advising clients on plan designs, maintaining enrollments, Cobra administration and advising on all service issues. In her role as the a Benefit Specialist she maintained a strong rapport with clients and assisted in all functions regarding enrollment to claims problems.
Linda’s competency in employee benefits provides her clients a positive long term solution to employer’s satisfaction. Keeping clients satisfied and assisting in enrollment issues or coverage questions will give our clients all the needs to keep them informed. Her responsibilities at Advantage Benefit Solutions are to provide employer and employee relationships as well as provide benefit communications and all materials to satisfy the employers benefits package.
Jessica Mwangi, Customer Care and Administrative Assistant
Jessica assists our underwriter and account managers with claims and administrative requests between clients and carriers. Prior to joining ABS, Jessica was employed as a Support Center Representative by State Farm Insurance for over 10 years, first as a contractor then as an employee. She handled technical support calls for internal customers. During that time, she mentored and trained new employees in the Technical Support Division, participated in Strategic and Program Coordination and engaged in other parts of the State Farm Organization in regional community outreach and volunteer projects. Jessica is a licensed Property and Casualty Adjuster. She is bilingual (French and English) and is learning Swahili because she has a passion for engaging and helping folks in the community.
Amber Celestine, Customer Care Assistant
Amber has 3 years’ experience and knowledge in employee benefits. Prior to joining ABS, Amber worked for Collins Benefits Solutions, where her responsibilities included submittal of employee membership activity. This has continued to be Amber’s role with ABS.
